Home for Chinese New Year
But I'm both excited and slightly anxious about going back. Will CNY be the same as I remembered? All my cousins are now much older and some are married, so I guess it'll be slightly different. Will we still have much to talk about? Not that we had a lot to talk about to start with, since we only really see each other at most once a year or once in ten for some. They'll probably say things like, "Wah, a bit more plump/skinnier/mature/prettier ah..." depending on when they last saw me. And now that I'm turning 25 this year, and one of my younger cousins is married, I'll probably also start getting questions about when it's my turn. Not like my friends aren't asking already :P
Anyway, I've only been able to set up a few meetings with friends and some more are still being planned, but already my schedule seems packed. What with spending 5.5 days in Malaysia visiting relatives and only 5.5 days in Singapore to visit family friends, catch up with old friends, spend time with my parents and hang out with the bf... plus do things like getting a haircut and visiting the dentist, there really isn't much time for anything. I'll just have to try my best to fit everyone and everything in.
I'm really happy to be going home though, and it does suck that my brother can't be back for CNY too (we miss you, Kor!). I'll probably have to miss his graduation in June too, since I've been traveling too much recently and will be traveling some more the next few months for conferences. The boss won't be too happy if my work keeps getting interrupted...
Anyhows, I gotta go finish packing and cleaning up my room now. I'm flying off tomorrow! See some of you soon, and Happy Chinese New Year to everyone!
